A Sabbath Rest
After six days of Creation, our Creator God rested on the seventh day and instituted the Sabbath for all people as a memorial of Creation (Genesis 1 & 2).  The fourth commandment of God's unchangeable law (Exodus 20) required the observance of this seventh day Sabbath as the day of rest, worship, and service in harmony with the teaching and practice of Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath.

At Chestnut Hill Church, the Sabbath is a day to deepen our relationship with God and each other.  God knew how we were put together, and wanted us to live in the best way possible, within the Sabbath rhythms we were created for.  The Sabbath is a symbol of our redemption and continued transformation in Christ, and a taste of our eternal future in God's kingdom.

You are personally invited to experience the Sabbath with us every Saturday.
